Provide app and/or API access to control the charge current

Third parties are coming to market to allow users control of charging at the moment of the best energy rate during the day.

This gives users the ability to save on charging costs and open opportunities to only charge when home Solar panels are providing energy. Smart Charging in general is becoming more important in balancing the grid and the only way today to integrate a Tesla into this mix is by starting and stopping... more »

Skip/Rewind Podcast with buttons on steering wheel

At this time, the buttons on the wheel will skip to the next podcast. This isn't very helpful at all. When listening to a long podcast, the infotainment system will often lose your place when you finish your drive. It would be nice to have it begin where it left off. Since it often doesn't do that, it would be nice to be able to jump forward in programmable steps like 15 or 30 seconds rather than trying to use the progress... more »

TESLA BATTERY APP

The current Tesla Battery App allows you to set the peak, off peak, and super off peak times by choosing one peak time and one super off peak time. This works fine, except that in some cases we have MORE than one super off peak time and so this cannot be programmed in.

Be able to download a car update from the App Unverified Translation

When a Tesla is unlocked and you're in the middle of a call, it's pretty eager to switch the audio from the phone over to the car. This can be frustrating when you're in the middle of a call and you are not even inside the car yet. Or when you're near the car and someone else gets in the car a similar thing happens.

Suggestion: use the seat occupancy sensor to check if the driver is in their seat. Once the seat is occupied,... more »

Auto Close of windows

Sensor that detects rain could sense rain when parked and auto close windows if they are "vented"... At minimum if push alerts are set it could send a message to the user that asks "close windows?" when rain is detected... I frequently use the vent option for the windows in my car (live near atlanta) however I don't always see that it is raining until it is too late. I believe the hardware is all installed, just a little... more »
