Ferry mode

During this summer's vacation, i had to take a ferry numerous times with my Tesla 3. Once on the ferry, it is not allowed to stay in the car or on the car deck during the voyage. The first times, i experienced the alarm going off short time after departure, i suppose due to car being moved without driving and/or reacting to rocking due to waves. After some googling, i turned off the alarm, but this also means the whole... more »

Romance is dead. Zen Mode activate

Kinda like romantic mode, but instead Zen Mode. Users can choose nature sounds etc. Air vents oscillate and fan speed randomizes with the sound of leaves rustling or waves crashing. Use the display and now you have a pseudo 4D theater. A great way to regain your mental center when in traffic or supercharging.

Select on/off for passenger and driver vent

recently an update made it so when just the drive is in the front, the passenger vent is turned off for efficiency sake. Sometimes it doesnt work tho, if something is sitting in the front passenger seat. Also, my girlfriend remarked that she just wanted her side off, because she didn't want air blowing at her. I realized that neither side can turn off the air vent, you have to just point the air stream way out of the... more »

Dog Mode Enable rear seat vent - Model 3

Dog Mode appears to turn off rear seat vents. Since my dog is always in the rear seat if I am not in the car, this is counter intuitive.

In Dog Mode - the rear seat vents should either force the rear seat vents on - or at the very least - leave the rear seat vents in whatever state they were last set which would allow the driver to decide how they want the rear seat vents to operate in dog mode.

In my experience, without... more »

Fix for seat position problem

Apparently the seats do not have seat position sensors and use the seat motor run time to adjust seat positions. I had to turn off easy entry because it was so out of alignment.

My suggested fix is a recalibrate feature in which you would be instructed to move the seat , the tilt and the seat back to the most forward position before pressing the calibrate button.

I recline my seat often to the full recline position... more »

Turn off air conditioning when parked and a door is opened

The default setting of a Model 3 is to turn on air conditioning when openening a door of a parked car, or to keep it on when opening the door from inside after driving and parking. This seems to be a waste of energy, and also it is noisy outside, and it seems to add unnecessary start/stop cycles to the air conditioner.

This makes especially no sense when I put the kids on the back seats, because that turns on the air... more »

Anti-stuck automatic rocking method

When your car is stuck in mud or snow applying "rocking manoeuvre" could be very effective. You basically roll the car forwards until the tires slip, then roll back, then repeat (see video below to understand the idea). An electric car could take this technique to a whole new level. Switching between forward and backward can be done automatically in instant, so the car should be able to unstuck starting with very low... more »

Better Model Y suspension or adjustable

Love the model Y, but we feel every bump in the road, very stiff. Definitely not a luxury feel. Can the suspension be improved in future models or make it adjustable like I assume model X has? There are a lot of dirt roads in NH, not comfortable to ride on. Our Subaru Outback is more comfortable on bumpy roads. Luxury car should have luxury ride. Smooth road...it is a smooth ride.
