Virtual rear-view mirror on Touchscreen

The Model Y visibility out of the rear window is poor. Also if you have a lot of cargo stacked in the rear, blocking the window, the rear-view mirror is useless. In my Toyota RAV 4 and my Chevy Bolt there is an option to display the backup camera in the rear-view mirror for situations where the rear window is blocked. For the Model Y, how about adding an option to display the rear-camera in part of the touchscreen (for... more »

3 Sentry mode additions

  1. Right now reviewing sentry mode is so slow. For faster reviewing: Show 4-8 pictures of what triggered the recording. When you press on a picture it rewinds to 2 second before the trigger and starts the video there.

  2. Even if sentry mode is off, if the car is bumped on moved. It should trigger a camera or video.

  3. Add a map overlay so you know exactly where the event happened.

Tesla Insurance

I love my Model X and my Tesla App. I also have Tesla Insurance which was much more reasonable than my AAA. It would be great if Tesla could add an icon in the App called Tesla Insurance. It would have all of my insurance information if I ever need it in one handy spot. Also, Tesla owners without Tesla Insurance might want to inquire about it and the result would be a large increase in Insurance policies. I'm a retired... more »

Would it be possible to integrate adaptive hand controls?

Would it be possible to integrate adaptive hand controls into autopilot/self drive mode to assist people with disabilities? (People who cannot use pedal or have limited or no foot control.) Or integrate other adaptive technologies to assist. I am interested in  Model Y. My family owns other performance model Teslas.

Passive Blindspot Detection Selected

- When AutoPilot is not activated, and turn signal is activated make a chime or sound play to alert driver to someone existing in blind spot. Similar to the mirror light blind spot functions other cars have. Instead of just a last second avoidance feature or visual on the screen which is not very safe to be looking at whilst driving.
- Could make another kind of "clicking" sound to passively let the driver know someone... more »

Parking aid for other cars Unverified Translation

It would be great if we have our Tesla parked in line and another car wants to park behind or in front of us, our Tesla will help the other car through the parking sensors, detecting the other car and instead of emitting beeps, it will flash the lights or turn signals. longer or shorter depending on the distance, so that the other driver has extra help from Tesla

Stream video during sentry event

Wouldn't it be swell if during a sentry trigger event, the tesla mobile app could receive a video stream of what is happening? This could help you determine immediate steps, e.g. If you see someone bothering your car, call 911, versus if you see a child bumped into it walking by, you can go and turn off the alarm.

Not only would this help prevent putting a user in danger (who wants to go confront someone who is trying... more »

No rolling the opposite direction of the gear.

No rolling the opposite direction of the gear. A car in drive can't roll backwards and a car in reverse can't roll forwards.
Whether this is accomplished with a half hold/creep mode or just a "The car always automatically 'Holds' at zero" (no special song and dance with the brake pedal) I'm fine with.
Auto hold at zero is probably the most straight forward. Basically, once the car is going zero only the accelerator can... more »

Politely get Tail Gators to back away from your Car

There were approximately 1.7M rear end collisions in the USA in 2019, 17,000 deaths and 500,000 injuries. Apart from the human cost, rear end collisions always involve minimum of 2 vehicles and are a large cost for insurance companies. They are almost always caused by the driver of the vehicle behind being too close.

Using a simple sensor mounted in the rear of the car, your Tesla could detect when the car behind it... more »
