Truck Bed Work Bench

Trucks have no efficient place for your tools, blueprints, computer, etc. when you're on the job site. They are filled with products that need to be cut, shaped, or designed to fit the designated need. Presently there is no solution for your truck to hold your tools and product while still working. You could bring an extra table but that takes up space in your truck bed. There is room for a table/work bench to be placed... more »

Passenger seat operation via central screen in Tesla Model 3

During long car journeys on the motorway, the front passenger may fall asleep while the seat is reasonably 'upright'. This can be an uncomfortable position for that person. The driver cannot reposition that passenger seat as the controls are out of reach on the right side of the seat.

Is it possible, via an OTA update, to provide a pop-up menu of the seat on the central screen with next to it touch buttons to change... more »

Convenience

Heads Up Display (HUD)

A Heads Up Display would be great especially for Model 3, Y and the Cybertruck where there is no other display in front of the driver.

As FSD advances, and the car does most of the driving, the center screen will get more use for entertainment by passengers.
The driver should get to see some basics like battery, speed, speed limit and navigation data or warnings in the HUD.

Convenience

Notify when phone is left on charger pad

Have a notification that lets you know you left your phone on the charger pad when you leave close the door and leave the vehicle. This becomes important when your phone is the key and you depend on it to automatically lock when you leave the vehicle. So many times I have to run back to car to get my phone.

Trailer backing aids

There is already a predictive path that shows on the reverse camera when backing up. An even more difficult task is trying to back up while connected to a trailer. The path of the trailer is opposite the path of the vehicle; unless you practice regularly it can be difficult and you can get yourself in a position that is hard to recover from in a tight space.

When the vehicle is in trailer mode, it would be extremely... more »

Convenience

Mobile Battery

Is there or can the Tesla team create a mobile battery for the Tesla, like gas vehicles have gas cans for times they get in a rough situation to get mobile fuel, it would be amazing to have a mobile rolling suitcase type battery pack (that may even plug into a 110 power source) that could be easily removed from the vehicle for convenience as well as safety? Even if it can only add 20+ miles to the vehicle. I don't currently... more »

Convenience

automatic frunk opening (no app, no car display required)

it has always annoyed me, now with a little baby on my arm it annoys me even more

to get access to the frunk, e.g. with full hands in front of the supermarket, i either have to operate the tesla app or climb into the interior and open the frunk on the display. it's really annoying!

prerequisite:

microphone/sonic sensor in the interior

idea:

if i e.g. knock 3 times on a window and at the same time i am connected with... more »

Convenience

Open charging port when parked in the garage

I plug my car to the charger every time it's in the garage.

I'd like my car to automatically open its charging port whenever I step out of the car while parked inside my garage.

Beside not having to open the port manually, the noise made by the opening of the charger port would serves as a reminder to plug the car to the charger.

Convenience

Introduce an option (or timeout) to keep wifi ON while driving

Background: My model 3 automatically turns off wifi when I shift out of Park to begin driving. I understand why it was done as you don't want your car to scan all surrounding wifi networks as it drives by them. However, if you are using your phone's wifi hotspot then you need to manually turn wifi back on every time AFTER you started driving. Same goes for those who use public and private wifi hotspot networks in urban... more »

Convenience

new car no stinky no mo" mode

A setting where the heat is turned all the way up, seat warmers are on-- Directed towards the interior components that outgas the most volatile hydrocarbons and open and close the windows as needed to vent the most of these fumes. (with the windows closed the gunk-fumes will just condense on the windows.)

I'm currently attempting to do this. (I've already had one minor migraine from new car smell. Previously I've left... more »
