Notify when phone is left on charger pad trending idea

Have a notification that lets you know you left your phone on the charger pad when you leave close the door and leave the vehicle. This becomes important when your phone is the key and you depend on it to automatically lock when you leave the vehicle. So many times I have to run back to car to get my phone.

Passive Blindspot Detection Selected trending idea

- When AutoPilot is not activated, and turn signal is activated make a chime or sound play to alert driver to someone existing in blind spot. Similar to the mirror light blind spot functions other cars have. Instead of just a last second avoidance feature or visual on the screen which is not very safe to be looking at whilst driving.
- Could make another kind of "clicking" sound to passively let the driver know someone... more »

Reduce unnecessary brake light activation trending idea

After seeing several videos of angry motorbike riders taking out their frustration on Teslas, I wonder if part of the reason is the activation of brake lights whenever the accelerator pedal is released.

As a lifelong manual driver I have always been careful to change down rather than brake to avoid annoying the drivers behind. I find it most embarrassing that, in my Tesla, I am constantly flashing my brake lights even... more »

Free FSD weekend trending idea

I think a lot of us who don't have FSD are interested in the option, but are worried the benefits might not be worth the price. My idea is to have "Free-FSD Week" where all tesla's on the road would be enabled to try FSD for a week. This could also be coordinated with a release of new FSD features or biannually. Not only would this give experience to drivers, but also may encourage many more people to purchase FSD.

Brakes and Always Leave and Out trending idea

Brake lights seem to be an issue in some Tesla accidents. The Tesla is rear ended.

Regenerative braking in my Model Y works very similarly to the way I used to brake in my other vehicles - with one huge exception: no brake lights going on. (My son almost drove into a car that was parked 2 feet from the curb in an English town. I was being the typical American dad-passenger and watching and it fooled me too.

Mobile App

Auto Close of windows trending idea

Sensor that detects rain could sense rain when parked and auto close windows if they are "vented"... At minimum if push alerts are set it could send a message to the user that asks "close windows?" when rain is detected... I frequently use the vent option for the windows in my car (live near atlanta) however I don't always see that it is raining until it is too late. I believe the hardware is all installed, just a little... more »

Autopilot

Cruise Control at Current Speed trending idea

When setting the cruise control, it always locks at "current speed or map indicated, whichever is faster".

There are many places in my area, where it either has inaccurate map date, or it's simple not safe to drive at the indicated speeds.

When activating the cruise control at lower speeds, this means the car starts accelerating, until I can reduce speed on the scroll wheel - every single time.

It would be nice to... more »

Mobile Battery trending idea

Is there or can the Tesla team create a mobile battery for the Tesla, like gas vehicles have gas cans for times they get in a rough situation to get mobile fuel, it would be amazing to have a mobile rolling suitcase type battery pack (that may even plug into a 110 power source) that could be easily removed from the vehicle for convenience as well as safety? Even if it can only add 20+ miles to the vehicle. I don't currently... more »

Charging

Minimum charge limit for safety reasons

Sometimes, after enjoying riding our Model 3, we connect the car to our charger at home and we have only 10% of battery charge left. This 10% of battery charge is not enough to drive to the nearest hospital or useful for any other kind of emergency (friends/parents in need, zombie attack). Because I have set Scheduled Departure at 8 a.m. the car will not be charged all evening and most of the night.

This is why I would... more »

automatic frunk opening (no app, no car display required)

it has always annoyed me, now with a little baby on my arm it annoys me even more

to get access to the frunk, e.g. with full hands in front of the supermarket, i either have to operate the tesla app or climb into the interior and open the frunk on the display. it's really annoying!

prerequisite:

microphone/sonic sensor in the interior

if i e.g. knock 3 times on a window and at the same time i am connected with... more »

Make sure matrix signs above the road are not detected as lights

When I drive on the highway, the matrix signs above the road (which are used when the speed limit is reduced for example during traffic jams) are detected and displays as traffic lights (see attached photo). Please make sure this is corrected.

Heads Up Display (HUD)

A Heads Up Display would be great especially for Model 3, Y and the Cybertruck where there is no other display in front of the driver.

As FSD advances, and the car does most of the driving, the center screen will get more use for entertainment by passengers.
The driver should get to see some basics like battery, speed, speed limit and navigation data or warnings in the HUD.

Charging

Tesla to Tesla Bump Charge

A dead battery is the worst. Once Tesla designs the new inverters how about adding the ability to bump charge a Tesla with a Tesla so you can get to a nearby charger? Add an S.O.S. button to inform nearby owners you need a bump and offer supercharger credits for being a Good Samaritan. 5% might just save someone hours of hassle and hundreds of dollars.
