I noticed that the avatar screen provides quite a good rear view if you manually rotate the screen (see pic). Unfortunately the view is not fixed and returns after a few seconds to the regular forward view. For better situational awareness it would be great to allow the driver to hold the rear view in place without keeping your finger on the screen. Should be an easy option to implement and improve overall safety.
What is currently holding Tesla back from being the market share leader in solar?
A dead battery is the worst. Once Tesla designs the new inverters how about adding the ability to bump charge a Tesla with a Tesla so you can get to a nearby charger? Add an S.O.S. button to inform nearby owners you need a bump and offer supercharger credits for being a Good Samaritan. 5% might just save someone hours of hassle and hundreds of dollars.
The new wireless charging points are a great convenience. But it makes it easier to accidentally leave your phone in the car as you leave. The car should detect that the phone used to open the car is still inside the car as the driver exits the vehicle and use the external speaker to remind them of this.
I used to live in Texas and anyone there knows how challenging it can be to keep groceries cool by the time you get home. A refrigerated frunk would solve that issue and be another selling point. It would be great for campers too.
Tesla model 3 blind spot monitor does not work too well. Wish Tesla can provide an option to add a warning light on each door next to the side view mirror to show the traffic when you want to change lane.
It would he nice to hear audio notifications from Waze while listening to Spotify. Ie "police reported ahead", etc. Since my phone is connected to bluetooth. The car would mix it in along with the music. You could set the level, with a virtual audio mixer.
Right now reviewing sentry mode is so slow. For faster reviewing: Show 4-8 pictures of what triggered the recording. When you press on a picture it rewinds to 2 second before the trigger and starts the video there.
Even if sentry mode is off, if the car is bumped on moved. It should trigger a camera or video.
Add a map overlay so you know exactly where the event happened.
Since side cameras are available, when the signal light is turned on, a split screen of the blind spot in the same direction as the signal light should appear on the screen.
On my Model S, I can set the height to which the back hatch will open. I have it set so that it can open in my garage without hitting the ceiling. It would be nice if the car could use the GPS and only limit the height when I am home. That way it would open all the way when I am not in the garage.
I pay for ad free youtube and premium connectivity and don't want ads while watching YouTube in the car. Can the unsupported browser error be solved so we can log into Google? Our at least publish a workaround. This used to not be a problem.
With Tesla already experienced with car to grid from the original roadster and the fact that Lucid, Polestar and Hyundai are all claiming to have car to grid, Can Tesla pleae confirm that future vehicles can work to support our Powerwalls in emergency backup situations? Those of us with roadsters will not be driving them as day to day cars and will have mid scale battery powerplants available when needed.
A feature which will overlay a scaleable live weather radar image over the map on the touchscreen.
This would give a visual warning of rain or approaching storms, etc.🌧 ⚡️
