Maximum speed in town when not on Autopilot or Cruise Control

It is very common to have very low speed limits around pedestrian areas in the very center of European Cities, often 25 or 30 km/h. In these conditions, with parking cars, bicycles and pedestrians it is not convenient to use the Cruise Control to prevent going over the limit.

The driver can accelerate and brake manually but the car will not accelerate beyond the currently set limit. Like this, the driver can watch the... more »

Make sure matrix signs above the road are not detected as lights

When I drive on the highway, the matrix signs above the road (which are used when the speed limit is reduced for example during traffic jams) are detected and displays as traffic lights (see attached photo). Please make sure this is corrected.

Convenience

Open charging port when parked in the garage

I plug my car to the charger every time it's in the garage.

I'd like my car to automatically open its charging port whenever I step out of the car while parked inside my garage.

Beside not having to open the port manually, the noise made by the opening of the charger port would serves as a reminder to plug the car to the charger.

Convenience

Open charging port when parked in garage

I plug my MS to the charger every time I park in my garage. I'd like the car to automatically open the charging port whenever it detect that I'm leaving the car while parked in the garage.

Not only would it save me the step to open the port manually, but the sound the port makes when it open would serve as a reminder for me not to forget to plug the charger.

Convenience

Audio Volume

It would be nice to bring the audio volume down to 1 or 2 when car starts, otherwise due to the quality of Bluetooth device we connect, we increase the volume very high and forget to reduce the volume and next time you start your car the volume is so high that it could damage your eardrum.

Convenience

Heads Up Display (HUD)

A Heads Up Display would be great especially for Model 3, Y and the Cybertruck where there is no other display in front of the driver.

As FSD advances, and the car does most of the driving, the center screen will get more use for entertainment by passengers.
The driver should get to see some basics like battery, speed, speed limit and navigation data or warnings in the HUD.

Windshield wiper blades VS. water repellent + pressurised air

My ideia is to replace the normal windshield blades.

1º - Apply a water repellant to the windshield glass;

2º - Install pressurised air hoses to spit any water that still is on the surface of the windshield.

Obs.: This feature could also be applied to the solar glass, and any solar panel in general... optimising the energy generation potencial.

*Obs.: Also could be applied to the rearview mirrors.

Convenience

Navigation

Today I visited a golf course in NH, which wasn't found on my map, even though I provided the street address. I had to use my iPhone once I got to the town.

It would be very convenient, when arriving at a location; if I could somehow TAG the (GPS) location (as the car arrived) and name it for future use.

This might also help other Tesla owners and greatly improve navigation, by adding hidden desirable locations; a connection... more »

Option to disable TACC use "dumb" cruise control instead. trending idea

I would like to have the option to disable TACC and use "dumb" cruise control instead.

I have experienced horrible ghost breakings. Suddenly middle of an empty road the car slammed brakes for 1 second and continued forwards. There was absolutely no reason for this breaking. If a car would have followed me it would have caused a rear-end collision.

Tesla give us the option to go with "dumb" cruise control, please.

Tesla needs to detect cars stopped/slowing down ahead earlier

While on autopilot the Tesla needs to start braking way earlier than it currently does. At red lights in particular it keeps on the accelerator way too long and then slams the Regen and/or brakes to hard to stop.

The car should gently let off the accelerator early if it detects a stopped car ahead anticipating it having to do a full stop. The gradual slow down instead of a jerky last second stop will make people feel... more »

Convenience

Navigation - don't show where I drove from

When driving, quickly glancing at the navigation screen shows too much information. I don't need to know the streets I have driven over or the turns that I have already made. Either eliminate the route line or at least grey it so that a quick glance shows what I have to do next.

Mobile App

Add open charge port button to widget

When using the widget on my iPhone, I would like to have a button to open the charge port. No I have to either open the app or get into my car and do it via the screen.

I have seen reports on the Internet that placing your phone against the charge port also has to open the charge port, but this somehow doesn't work for me unfortunately.

Autopilot

Do not use current speed when enabling AP when driving on ACC

When ACC is engaged on a specific speed (faster than the speed limit), but the car is driving slower for example because of a slower car in front of you and I engage AP, AP is engaged but the speed limit is changed to the current speed. This is really annoying because I then have to update the desired speed. I can imagine that using the current speed is taken when AP is engaged when driving manually, but if ACC is already... more »
