Navigation voice volume needs "Save"

I have a 2018 Model S. I like to keep the Navigation voice at the lowest setting possible. Whenever I'm listening to an audio source, whether radio, Tune-in or other, if I increase the volume while the Nav voice happens to be providing a command, the Nav volume is also raised. I then have to press the "settings" gear wheel on Nav to reset the voice assist to its lowest level ONCE AGAIN! Hrumpf! Can't a "Save" feature... more »

Ask Elon / Tesla a Question

Can we get updated on Car to grid?

With Tesla already experienced with car to grid from the original roadster and the fact that Lucid, Polestar and Hyundai are all claiming to have car to grid, Can Tesla pleae confirm that future vehicles can work to support our Powerwalls in emergency backup situations? Those of us with roadsters will not be driving them as day to day cars and will have mid scale battery powerplants available when needed.

Sentinel without flashing light

would be nice to be able to chose to have light flashing or not with Sentinel mode. Light flashing can be perceived as aggressive and result in bad actions against the car. I think being able to chose would be be a good thing. I see a number of Tesla users on Forums who would like this possibility.

Many thanks for your consideration.

Best regards,

Option for Lane Change Signal (3 or 5)

It would be nice to have a selection in the "Driving" menu to select either 3 or 5 "blinks" for lane changing. I'm not talking about when you'r in "AutoPilot" but just changing lanes while manual driving.

The current 3 "blink" is just not enough unless you drive like "mad max" all the time.

Fix Water running off roof into Boot/Trunk

Re-mould boot/trunk rubber so that the top section sits up further once Boot/trunk is opened (folds up) . In this way the rubber will direct water from the roof into the cutter at the top rather then it jumping straight over into the boot/trunk. This remoulded rubber can then simply be pushed down by the Boot/trunk when it is shut and springs up when opened.

DISPLAY MILES/KWH & BOTH Battery status and Miles

Tesla currently displays the energy efficiency in watt hours. Everyone who has owned a gas car and used to miles per gallon has it ingrained in their head that the HIGHER the number, the better the efficiency. However, using watt hours is the inverse and so it's just the opposite.

The LOWER the number the more efficient.

Moreover, when we want to quickly calculate how many miles we are adding or what we think our... more »

Indoor Temperature

Most cars enable you to show both the indoor and outdoor temperature. Tesla clearly has this information, but only displays it on the app and not on the dashboard. I think for those who want to know the internal temperature having this option is easy enough to provide. Others may simply be happy with just assuming that the AC temp is the temperature inside.

So why do people want to know the indoor temp and outdoor... more »

Mobile App

TESLA BATTERY APP

The current Tesla Battery App allows you to set the peak, off peak, and super off peak times by choosing one peak time and one super off peak time. This works fine, except that in some cases we have MORE than one super off peak time and so this cannot be programmed in.

I propose that we include the option to include a second PEAK and second super OFF PEAK time so that this can be properly allocated for.

In San Diego... more »

Safety

Graduating braking alert system

From I was a kid I've always wondered why car brakes lights are the same strength of viability/light intensity no matter if you slightly touch the breaks or you full on emergency stop. If break lights had a Gradual lighting system, this would give drivers behind travelling cars an indication to how 'hard' the car in front was braking. This would help prevent accidents as well as cut down on the overuse of break pads and... more »

RV powered by Tesla? trending idea

Ever since you came out with the Tesla Semi I have been thinking about what it would be like if RVs could be powered by Tesla. While I am not an engineer I was a producer for over 20 years and I would like the opportunity to "produce" this idea and coordinate between Tesla and RV coach builders to design a better way to "RV". You may already be working on this but I thought hey why not give it a shot and reach out. Thank... more »

Car seat and stroller

Hi! It would be great to have an option to buy a Tesla safety approved car seat for my toddler. He currently sits front facing in the Nuna Raver car seat at 2yrs old as that was how the car seat installer recommended for the Model X. However, I would prefer he remained rear facing for safety reasons until age 3-4 if possible. In addition to the car seat, I would love a Tesla compatible stroller - that folds down easily,... more »

M-Y Liftgate Light OFF During Camp Mode

Add the liftgate light to the camp mode feature. This would allow this light to be turned OFF when the liftgate is open.

I have a tent made for hatchbacks, with the hatchback you can be in the tent or in the car at the same time without bugs in the car. Right now, when the liftgate is open the light is always on.

There is a workaround by putting something in the latch mechanism to fool it into thinking it is closed... more »
