Mobile App

A quick way to switch between the Tesla's you own

I have a Model S and a Model 3. The model 3 operates with Phone key, but when my Model S is active in the app, the key of the Model 3 is not active (which makes sense).

I'd like a quicker way to switch between cars, this could be through a widget, so that I can access the model 3 quicker.

Sure, If I think about it ahead of time and swich cars all is fine. But quite regularly I'm already in front of the model 3 and then... more »

Touchscreen

Add Ability To Display Pictures On Touchscreen

I would like to be able to display pictures on the touchscreen when I'm not actually navigating. It could be from a set of preloaded pictures, or pictures I loaded myself. A slideshow option would be great too. I use the car mostly around town and I know where I am and where I'm going. It would be nice to look at something besides an ugly map.

I have to point out our 2020 CRV Hybrid has this ability. Surely Tesla could... more »

Convenience

Windshield as a camera

The idea is to put multiple fisheye cameras around the perimeter of the windshield and have the synced and calibrated to the center focal point. They would be encased to prevent from damage, kind of like a rope light. This could be used to take scenic views on your drive or record during an event of interest of distress. All controlled from the steering wheel for the driver and from the dash for the passenger.

Autopilot

Nav on Autopilot earlier indicators

When exiting a highway using Nav on Autopilot, the car activates the indicators only moments before taking an exit. This gives drivers behind little warning and does not inspire confidence that the system will take the exit. A human driver would start indicating a few hundred meters before the exit. Nav on Autopilot should do likewise.

Modes

Better Model Y suspension or adjustable

Love the model Y, but we feel every bump in the road, very stiff. Definitely not a luxury feel. Can the suspension be improved in future models or make it adjustable like I assume model X has? There are a lot of dirt roads in NH, not comfortable to ride on. Our Subaru Outback is more comfortable on bumpy roads. Luxury car should have luxury ride. Smooth road...it is a smooth ride.

Safety

Emergency Lane mode for Autopilot on traffic jams

In Germany it is legally required to create an emergency lane between the leftmost lane and the one next to it when vehicles are stopped on the highway or move at crawling pace.

Create a mode for Autopilot in its menu, or a virtual button to tap on the screen when encountering a traffic jam, where if it detects it is driving on the leftmost lane, it will follow the car ahead like usual, but before stopping, it will try... more »

Safety

Maximum speed in town when not on Autopilot or Cruise Control

It is very common to have very low speed limits around pedestrian areas in the very center of European Cities, often 25 or 30 km/h. In these conditions, with parking cars, bicycles and pedestrians it is not convenient to use the Cruise Control to prevent going over the limit.

The driver can accelerate and brake manually but the car will not accelerate beyond the currently set limit. Like this, the driver can watch the... more »

Autopilot

Make sure matrix signs above the road are not detected as lights

When I drive on the highway, the matrix signs above the road (which are used when the speed limit is reduced for example during traffic jams) are detected and displays as traffic lights (see attached photo). Please make sure this is corrected.

Convenience

Open charging port when parked in the garage

I plug my car to the charger every time it's in the garage.

I'd like my car to automatically open its charging port whenever I step out of the car while parked inside my garage.

Beside not having to open the port manually, the noise made by the opening of the charger port would serves as a reminder to plug the car to the charger.

Convenience

Open charging port when parked in garage

I plug my MS to the charger every time I park in my garage. I'd like the car to automatically open the charging port whenever it detect that I'm leaving the car while parked in the garage.

Not only would it save me the step to open the port manually, but the sound the port makes when it open would serve as a reminder for me not to forget to plug the charger.

Convenience

Audio Volume

It would be nice to bring the audio volume down to 1 or 2 when car starts, otherwise due to the quality of Bluetooth device we connect, we increase the volume very high and forget to reduce the volume and next time you start your car the volume is so high that it could damage your eardrum.
