Disable FWD Pillar Button When Child Protection Lock is Enabled

Problem: the child-protection lock for the falcon wing doors only prevents a child from opening the FWDs. It does not turn off the switch for purposes of closing the doors. Anyone with kids knows that this button is enticing! And they can easily touch the button with their hands or feet (by accident or on purpose).

Solution: Disable this FWD button on the pillar when the child protection lock is enabled.

Child in back seat reminder

Accidentally leaving a child in the back seat, especially on hot days, has become a national epidemic. Even the most well meaning parent occasionally becomes preoccupied, which can lead to tragedy. This modification would create a Child Safety mode which, when turned on via software, will create audio and visual (on touchscreen) reminders that a child is in the back seat. It would be triggered whenever the car is put... more »

Emergency services

Hey guys, it would be great if you could somehow coordinate with emergency services so they could select a destination route which would update any cars travelling along that route that an emergency vehicle will be approaching sometime shortly. therefore advising the driver to pull over to the left hand Lane and clear the space

Pothole Detection and Avoidance (aka Deep Pothole) Selected

Develop a new neural net just for potholes dubbed, Deep Pothole (or Deep Hole) purely for detecting potholes in the road. The system would upload pothole location data to the cloud, building a global map of all potholes (aka PotMap). Also autopilot would avoid the pothole automatically. Finally, if you're not using autopilot, a warning would chime if a pothole is coming.

Sentry Mode Camera Angle

When parked, this vehicle would greatly increase security be angling to rear cameras on each side to catch license plates and pedestrians that pass by. This is greatly beneficial as home surveillance systems and parking lots cannot capture this angle that appears to be the most important for identification of A$$holes breaking stuff. (I have been involved in security for years and this idea alone would had led to catching... more »

For cyber truck

The head light of the truck does not give any aerodynamic advantage whereas a triangular light bar that could change its angle according to speed will be advantageous and will increase efficiency.

There has been moveable headlamps but these headlights increased drag because of pop out design.

The light bar type headlight instead of being flat at low speed and at 90° to the air resistance but when the truck reaches relatively... more »

Setting to turn off (or adjust) electronically-dimmed mirrors

The auto dimmed mirrors on the model 3 are too dark, especially if you have tinted windows it makes the mirrors useless and the car is difficult to drive at night. A setting to disable the auto-dimming mirrors would work, or a slider where we can adjust how much they dim. Currently they do not rely on the brightness of headlights behind the vehicle, they simply default to max dimming which is too dark without tint and... more »

Adaptive slow down recupteration mode

Once there is a red light or a crossing in front or just a queue of cars ahead, one must slow down the speed by manually adjusting the speed with the velocity pedal to make the slow down smooth stopping just at the right place eg. one meter behind the vehicle in front.
The idea is to simply allow a smart desceleration mode where the car does not recuperate in a fixed way but it calculates the optimal desceleration curve... more »

Emergency Lane mode for Autopilot on traffic jams

In Germany it is legally required to create an emergency lane between the leftmost lane and the one next to it when vehicles are stopped on the highway or move at crawling pace.

Create a mode for Autopilot in its menu, or a virtual button to tap on the screen when encountering a traffic jam, where if it detects it is driving on the leftmost lane, it will follow the car ahead like usual, but before stopping, it will try... more »

Toggle indicator triple-flash setting

I rented a Jeep (back when I drove my i-miev) that had this (along with creep on/off), and my dad's Mazda does both, too:

Add car software ability to let user set to turn off automatic turn indicator feature where, if driving without Auto Lane Change active, the turn indicators flash three times if the turn indicator lever is activated by the driver for less than a maximum amount of time (Three flashes is an unsafely... more »
