The Model 3 sound system is just brilliant. I like hearing my favourite sound sometimes a little bit loud. But did you ever get a phone call in such a situation? What comes after the call will blow your mind out of the head. 😳

The proposal is simple to fade in the volume after a phone call slow and smoothly and therefore protect your ears and make sure that you stay on the road when this happens.

Most of the status and warning text is too small to read for people who need to wear glasses for driving. An option for larger text onscreen, particularly the driving information in the top panel (aside from speed) and any of the warning and notifications that appear.

Warning messages are so small, that unless you have perfect eyesight, there is no way you can read them without taking your eyes off the road.

I suggest a message saying content and which can be stopped by touching message box.

The safest car in the world should not force drivers to take their eyes off the road.

It is easy to miss or overlook the exit number. If it was green, it would be more recognizable.

The visual to show that climate control is ON or OFF is a little unclear. It would be better if it was more obvious if it was off (see proposed design).

When using the Hold feature at stoplights, it can be hard to see the white, small H indicator that shows Hold is engaged. On some occasions it isn't engaged. By changing the color of the 0 mph speed indicator and possibly add a small H inside it, the driver will have a much clearer and safer confirmation that Hold is actually engaged.

For drivers who need reading glasses the current Model 3 screen is a safety hazard - can the display be simplified or options provided to enhance specific data elements?

Without reading glasses on, I cannot read some of the popup warnings at a glance (as I hope they were intended to be). The phone, radio station and other music info is also minimally ledgible for me. I cannot wear the reading glasses while driving as... more »

When driving, quickly glancing at the navigation screen shows too much information. I don't need to know the streets I have driven over or the turns that I have already made. Either eliminate the route line or at least grey it so that a quick glance shows what I have to do next.

To be able to open the glove box directly, without opening a mnu first.

For example:

- In parking position, open the glove box from the car display, just like the boot lid / front cover.

- While driving via button bar at the top.

-Don't constantly show the nominal range (e.g., the current UI) — it causes worry & isn't accurate
-Periodically fade-in / fade-out projected range, calculated using the average of the 5- and 15-mile avg power consumptions
-Determine if need to show range every 3 minutes, based on whether a significant change in consumption has occurred (or if it's been >10 minutes since last shown)

Suggestion is to use the right button on the steering wheel for vertical scrolling usage in the music player.
So for much safer scrolling to the music / album suggestions in Spotify or the available list of radio stations. Without having to leave the right hand from the steering wheel. The left scroll button is of course for the volume. So why not make use of the right steering wheel button. For vertically scrolling... more »

Whenever I start typing a street name in the Navigation, it suggests names, which is great.

My problem is, that Selecting such a suggestion means that the street name is selected and navigation starts - without giving me an option to put in the house number.

Result:

I can either type in the entire thing manually: VeryLongStreetNameThatMightEvenBeDifficultToSpell 1234

Or:

Accept navigation to a random spot on above... more »

At this time, the buttons on the wheel will skip to the next podcast. This isn't very helpful at all. When listening to a long podcast, the infotainment system will often lose your place when you finish your drive. It would be nice to have it begin where it left off. Since it often doesn't do that, it would be nice to be able to jump forward in programmable steps like 15 or 30 seconds rather than trying to use the progress... more »

Allow Tesla owner to select text size. It is extremely difficult for older users to read The owner manual or read quick messages while driving.

Now that it's grey and white,  it can be missed. When it was green and white, it always caught your eye. Please go back to the original green and white.
