When its a hurricane and deep rain is hustling to clear the water off your windshield, it would be nice to teach the wipers to chill a bit when the vehicle comes to a stop.
If you forget to close a window and leave the car, use the 'Deep Rain' to close it if it rains or snows, or get a warning on the Tesla app so we can close it from the app?
Show a warning when the road could be slippery or icy. For example if the temperature drops below 32 degrees F, then the display should give a warning about possible slippery roads ❄️ 🌧 . Similarly, if rain is detected.
Use weather forecast, or manual mode to maintain cabin_temp > 1°C when freezing rain is happening. Would prevent doors, windows and especially handles from freezing up.
A button for "Wiper off upon exit", Select this to NOT have the wipers function automatically every time you enter the car... Step on the break pedal and have a bunch of snow fall on your lap... Roll down the window to continue talking to someone and not have the wipers push a lap full of water into the window...
When it's raining heavy the fastest speed on the wiper settings is not fast enough. If one more speed was added this would definitely make it safer while driving in the rain.
Double Tap the button for the windshield wiper to quickly toggle between modes (I, II, III, AUTO), intead of going to the screen to change the mode.
When Deep Rain senses rain and/or when windshield wipers are activated, activate headlights. In Model X, activate rear fog lights when fastest windshield wiper setting is active.
Windshield wipers are essentially little mechanical hands that clean your windshield AFTER your vision is compromised. Instead, channel air over the windshield with enough force that rain never touches the glass in the first place.
It's embarrassing that literally the only improvement to wipers since 1896 has been Intermittent Wipers - little mechanical arms that move water only sometimes.
My ideia is to replace the normal windshield blades.
1º - Apply a water repellant to the windshield glass;
2º - Install pressurised air hoses to spit any water that still is on the surface of the windshield.
Obs.: This feature could also be applied to the solar glass, and any solar panel in general... optimising the energy generation potencial.
*Obs.: Also could be applied to the rearview mirrors.
