Hardware: Capture AC Water drip & pump into Wiper Water Bottle

It would be handy (and totally lazy of me) to want the car to capture the air conditioning water drip and pump it into the windscreen water bottle, to avoid me/us all from ever filling it up (although this would be less effective in colder climates if the AC isn't used as much....)

Turn wipers on and Change wiper speed via left stalk

It would be great if the button at the end of the left stalkcan be utilized to turn on the wipers and change speeds with quick succession presses. I know the one press currently let's you do a quick wipe and holding will activate the washer built into the wipers, but if multiple quick presses can activate the wipers to turn on and well as change the speed of the wipers, this can improve safety. I've had issues while driving... more »

Safety

Treat manual wiper actiivations as safety incidents. Log & fix!

On on a model 3 or model Y, where there is no direct, physical wiper control, it's a potentially serious safety issue whenever you have to activate (or increase frequency of) wipers while driving. In most cases it means:

1. You can't see well, or at all, while driving.

2. You must fumble with dragging the screen and stabbing at buttons.

3. You must do this while not being able to see well, or at all, while driving.... more »

Wiper settings available via steering wheel functions Unverified Translation

To adjust the windshield wipers, you have to focus on the display of the Model 3, which can be dangerous in this situation (poor visibility). For this reason, the speed of the wipers should be operated using the steering wheel knobs. 1) Activate the function by pressing the wiper button on the turn signal lever (the function on the steering wheel is now also available parallel to the window in the display). 2) Left-Right... more »

Rear fog lights

Add rear fog lights like the Model X has for all vehicles. In fog or heavy rain, dust, etc, the only thing other safe way to drive slowly is with flashers on, and no one should have to drive in a way that prevents them from using turn indicators. These should come on automatically when an object approaches quickly from the rear and/or when the highest frequency state of the windshield wipers is active.

Safety

Pneumatic Windshield Barrier

Windshield wipers are essentially little mechanical hands that clean your windshield AFTER your vision is compromised. Instead, channel air over the windshield with enough force that rain never touches the glass in the first place.

It's embarrassing that literally the only improvement to wipers since 1896 has been Intermittent Wipers - little mechanical arms that move water only sometimes.

Windshield wiper blades VS. water repellent + pressurised air

My ideia is to replace the normal windshield blades.

1┬║ - Apply a water repellant to the windshield glass;

2┬║ - Install pressurised air hoses to spit any water that still is on the surface of the windshield.

Obs.: This feature could also be applied to the solar glass, and any solar panel in general... optimising the energy generation potencial.

*Obs.: Also could be applied to the rearview mirrors.
