When in park, all the rear cameras would look for cyclists (or cars) coming up from behind and show some kind of alert so you don't door a cyclist. When you're parked next to a bike lane, show a warning when in park to look out for cyclists.
Tesla Mobile Key is the same as car keys, so having the option for the car to make a noise when the phone key is left in the car is a necessary safety feature.
Reduce audio volume when reversing. So that the reverse sensors can be heard easier.
Show a warning when the road could be slippery or icy. For example if the temperature drops below 32 degrees F, then the display should give a warning about possible slippery roads ❄️ 🌧 . Similarly, if rain is detected.
Warning when cross traffic or pedestrians when backing up. Back up camera field of view is too narrow to see approaching traffic when backing up.
If you drive in a small road and people are walking in middle of the road and maybe with headphones they dont hear you come. So it would be nice to have a button on the screen that will make a low sound, so the will walk to the side. With normal honk they get shocked.
When the car is moving in reverse, play an audible chime outside of the car to warn people.
Use car's GPS location to report via Tesla app if car is located in area where is high chance of hail.
I own a 2019 Model 3 and installed the Tesla roof rack. I frequently put my bike on the rack. I would love the ability to have my car remind me that a bike is on top when I approach my garage so I don't accidentally drive into it. You would manually enable Bike-on-roof Mode. As you approached your home the dash would alert you to remember not to drive into the garage.
Sometimes the car can get a little paranoid and sound the alarm for something quite innocuous (such as approaching a car's rear a little too quickly, or being a little close to someone walking up on the path). If it must sound the alarm (and maybe a quieter, less ear-piercing alarm when it's less sure so we don't... more »
I propose that Tesla vehicles have a switchable external sound so that when you get in the car and are about to move, it emits a sound to warn any pets that may be sleeping under the car (usually cats but some small dogs). ICE cars chase them away when the engine starts.
I'd hate to run over a furry friend because they didn't know the car was about to move.
Add car software ability to rapidly pulse screen brightness and always sound a tone before making Autosteer unavailable. On long, straight drives, drivers may be holding the wheel lightly, and drivers are watching the road, not the screen.
For Model X with old (tilting for 3rd row access) seats, don't display rear seats unlatched warning when rear seats are unoccupied.
Add car software ability to let user set following-time warning similar to speed limit warning. (On by default.)
I accidentally drove into my garage with my bike on my model 3. Stupid, right?! Luckily I realized and stopped before any damage was done to the bike or vehicle. I would love the ability to tell the car there is a bike on the roof so as I approach the garage it could warn me not to pull in.
