Safety

"Ring" style sentry mode - Push notifications with motion

A great enhancement to sentry mode would to enable the car to push notifications to your phone when motion is detected similar to a ring doorbell. When you click the notification it then streams the video feed to your phone. Along with the new speaker in front, you can also talk to the possible suspect from your phone.

Energy Saving/Deep Sleep Mode

When going on a trip, Tesla should have a deep sleep mode that disables nonessential functions to save battery such as leaving it at an airport for an extended amount of time. Sentry mode should also be turned off but only turned on when somebody tries to forcefully access the car. The owner should have the ability to put the car in and out of deep sleep mode on the mobile app and the app should alert the user of how... more »

Safety

Option to unlock only driver's door.

A popular and simple safety feature allows you to open just the driver's door. This means that someone can't jump in the other side just as you get into the car. For the majority, this won't seem like a real risk - it's never happened to you right? For others it's merely a sensible precaution and for very few of us (I hope!) it's a feature that has saved us from some "difficulty."

Many other cars implement this as a... more »

Convenience

Honk on lock disabled at Home

Honk on lock when enabled is very useful, however when parked inside home garage can be annoying specially on model S & X that can unlock just by the presence of keyfob around them. And then lock themselves later creating a honk sound everytime you are around them.

Just like how Sentry mode can be disabled at home, there should be an option to disable honk on lock at home as well.

Sentry Proximity

I would like to suggest that Sentry Mode has a proximity setting. I find it often is a bit too sensitive due to people passing the car on a pavement / walkway etc. So being able to set Sentry to a very close proximitry, where it only triggers when someone is literally next to the car would be useful.

Perhaps several fixed settings of proximity to choose from or a setting which can be adjusted manually to set your own... more »
