Detect Driver in Seat Before Switching to Bluetooth Implemented

When a Tesla is unlocked and you're in the middle of a call, it's pretty eager to switch the audio from the phone over to the car. This can be frustrating when you're in the middle of a call and you are not even inside the car yet. Or when you're near the car and someone else gets in the car a similar thing happens.

Suggestion: use the seat occupancy sensor to check if the driver is in their seat. Once the seat is occupied,... more »

Convenience

Passenger seat operation via central screen in Tesla Model 3 Unverified Translation

During long car journeys on the motorway, the front passenger may fall asleep while the seat is reasonably 'upright'. This can be an uncomfortable position for that person. The driver cannot reposition that passenger seat as the controls are out of reach on the right side of the seat.

Is it possible, via an OTA update, to provide a pop-up menu of the seat on the central screen with next to it touch buttons to change... more »

Safety

seat sensor

We have created a seat sensor for vehicles. This is a smart sensor that will be able to tell how big the person is in the vehicle. The sensor will also be able to tell the position the person is in while driving the vehicle and if a crash were to occur. This sensor will be able to tell if the person in the vehicle is an adult, child, car seat, box, or even an animal. This will let the vehicle know to deploy an airbag... more »

Convenience

Fine Tuning of Seat Heaters

it would be nice if seat heaters had some fine-tuning available - I find 3 bacons to be scorching, 2 bacons just a bit too hot, and 1 bacon nice but barely noticeable -- it would be nice to be able to tune down "2" to be a bit lower...

Fix for seat position problem

Apparently the seats do not have seat position sensors and use the seat motor run time to adjust seat positions. I had to turn off easy entry because it was so out of alignment.

My suggested fix is a recalibrate feature in which you would be instructed to move the seat , the tilt and the seat back to the most forward position before pressing the calibrate button.

I recline my seat often to the full recline position... more »

Convenience

Seat sensors

My kids tend to lean over the middle seat while driving. The weight on their leaning arm activates an audible and visible alarm. Every time they do this is a false alarm for me. While an alert is very useful, as a driver I want to be able to override or disable this when I'm sure they didn't undo their seatbelts.

Bottom line: in my Mercedes it didn't unnecessarily alert me. In the Tesla it does.

Convenience

Car seat and stroller

Hi! It would be great to have an option to buy a Tesla safety approved car seat for my toddler. He currently sits front facing in the Nuna Raver car seat at 2yrs old as that was how the car seat installer recommended for the Model X. However, I would prefer he remained rear facing for safety reasons until age 3-4 if possible. In addition to the car seat, I would love a Tesla compatible stroller - that folds down easily,... more »
