Easy Entry turns off when passenger detected behind driver

Have an option to turn off Easy Entry when the seat sensor detects a passenger behind the driver.

Problem: A driver profile has the Easy Entry enabled and moves the seat all the way back when the car is put into park. But if there is a passenger behind the driver they will instantly be struck with horror as they see the seat slowly moving toward them like the crushing walls of so many action films. Paralyzed with... more »

Tri-view of Left, Rear and Right cameras

The new firmware version 24.6.1 adds left and right repeater camera side views on each side of the rear camera view when we are in Reverse or Parking Assist mode

Okay Tesla, you have shown me what you can do. Now I need you to give me this option.

Give me a single row of views just like the one where the left repeater is showing and the right repeater is showing, but put the rear view the same sizes as each of those... more »

Extreme braking in the event of a collision

In addition to conventional braking systems, an extreme braking mode could be used in cases where a frontal collision of the vehicle is unavoidable.

The technology for such braking consists of well-known systems and is usable for single use only. Roughly speaking, the system is very similar to air bag technology, and the purpose of the system is to reduce the mass of the collision.

In a frontal collision, only the front... more »

Politely get Tail Gators to back away from your Car

There were approximately 1.7M rear end collisions in the USA in 2019, 17,000 deaths and 500,000 injuries. Apart from the human cost, rear end collisions always involve minimum of 2 vehicles and are a large cost for insurance companies. They are almost always caused by the driver of the vehicle behind being too close.

Using a simple sensor mounted in the rear of the car, your Tesla could detect when the car behind it... more »

Auto rear vents

Just a thought, but wouldn't it be great to have the fiction to have the rear rear AC wants beau tomato based on the the sensors built into the seats? Many times I've left the ac blowing to the rear when I'm in the car alone after dropping off people and forgetting switch them off. If Tesla can utilize the seat sensors to turn on the rear vents ( of course with manual options to turn off and on as well) it would save... more »

Easy Turn on Lights when approach & quick trunk control

When approaching the car at night in a dark location it is hard to find handle to open door, and would be nice to have surroundings lighted. Add a button on the App home screen (see image) to turn lights on until enter or for 2 minutes.

Also would be nice to have quicker button to open trunk, instead of going into Controls, one less step. There is room on home screen next to front trunk.

Caution Front Brake Lights

Caution front brake lights work just like the rear brake lights do but they only when your turn signals are on. This lets oncoming traffic see when your going to turn left or right in front of them. This also lets pedestrians know when it is safe to cross the crosswalk letting them know when your going to make your turn. This is my patented idea that I have on my truck and people will step back onto the curb when they... more »

Variable Speed Braking Indicators Edited

How many of us have almost rear ended someone because we have no idea how abruptly the person in front of us has applied the brakes. With the current binary brake indication system, (brake applied=light on; brake not applied=light off) other motorists have no relative way of judging stopping speed. Picture the visual readout of a Stereo Equalizer. As the levels increase, more bars light up. Apply this to a bank of main... more »

3rd row access button long-press

For Model X, add car software ability to treat long-press of rear seat entry buttons for non-folding middle row of model X the same as a single press. (Currently, long-press won't move seats enough to access rear row, and passengers get frustrated and can't handle/remember instructions to tap the arrow, don't hold it down.)
