I would like a feature where the car autopark in my garage, even if I need to use some kind of markings on the floor to help auto-pilot do it. I'd use everyday and it would be way better than the other auto park features that I never use because they are too slow or require parking conditions I never see out there.
Have the car auto automatically select "Garage Mode" when the car detects that you are in the garage. Just like Home link knows you're home. This mode leaves the car unlocked so that you can come back whenever to get something inside, load golf bags, even charge without having to get a key to get into your own car in your garage.
On my Model S, I can set the height to which the back hatch will open. I have it set so that it can open in my garage without hitting the ceiling. It would be nice if the car could use the GPS and only limit the height when I am home. That way it would open all the way when I am not in the garage.
When car is in garage I should be able to open the garage door from the app, when I summon the car while plugged in, it doesn't open garage door, because summon not available while plugged in
Unfortunately, when I'm leaving, the exit gate opens automatically for all vehicles leaving; so when my homelink triggers based on GPS coordinates, it opens the *entry* gate, allowing unauthorized vehicles into the community.
HomeLink should store the direction of travel as well as the GPS coordinates, and allow... more »
It would be great if Tesla supported Wifi enabled garage door openers. Especially since this is where the industry is headed.
I can set the trunk hatch to open in my garage and not hit the garage door, but when outside of the garage and in the car and I open from inside the car for my wife or kids to place on item in they always hit their heads on the hatch. I'd like to be able to long press the screen control button to open to full height and not over write the garage height. And then close as normal.
I plug my car to the charger every time it's in the garage.
I'd like my car to automatically open its charging port whenever I step out of the car while parked inside my garage.
Beside not having to open the port manually, the noise made by the opening of the charger port would serves as a reminder to plug the car to the charger.
Like folding mirrors, please add an option to turn on rear camera at specified locations, such as a driveway. In a tight garage, it's nice to have the rear camera on, so you know exactly when you're past the threshold to close the garage door.
I have programmed HomeLink for my entrance gate and my garage door. Both gates are only 5 meters apart. When I drive to the gates at normal speed, both signals are sent within a short time, the second signal always being lost. There should be a short timeout between sending 2 HomeLink commands to prevent this.
I accidentally drove into my garage with my bike on my model 3. Stupid, right?! Luckily I realized and stopped before any damage was done to the bike or vehicle. I would love the ability to tell the car there is a bike on the roof so as I approach the garage it could warn me not to pull in.
I plug my MS to the charger every time I park in my garage. I'd like the car to automatically open the charging port whenever it detect that I'm leaving the car while parked in the garage.
Not only would it save me the step to open the port manually, but the sound the port makes when it open would serve as a reminder for me not to forget to plug the charger.
