Lane-split mode for carpool lane

Autopilot insists on staying centered in the carpool lane, even in bumper-to-bumper rush-hour traffic. This is dangerous for motorcycles who lane split in the carpool lane; and yet moving the car to the left side of the lane cancels autopilot. 😞

Being able to set a "lane offset" in the driver settings, so that in stop-and-go traffic in the carpool lane, you can have the vehicle hug the left side of the... more »

Automatic turn signals when navigating without an autopilot Unverified Translation

If you have not activated the autopilot but the navigation is active (e.g. to work, or to your home, which is automatically activated), it would be very pleasant if at least the indicators were activated automatically. The vehicle knows where you want to go and where you are most likely to go for a long time and so the vehicle could carry out the annoying turn signal operation even if the autopilot is not activated (e.g.... more »

More Adaptive Speed Limits on City Streets Selected

In Houston (and many other cities), traffic regularly flows at 5 - 10 miles above the posted speed limit. Currently this is not an issue when using AutoPilot on the highway because it allows up to 90 MPH. However on City streets AutoPilot can only be instructed to go 5 MPH over. This is OK for some locations but can be unsafe in others. We need more control over AutoPilot relative speed limits on City streets.

Autopilot

Nav on Autopilot earlier indicators

When exiting a highway using Nav on Autopilot, the car activates the indicators only moments before taking an exit. This gives drivers behind little warning and does not inspire confidence that the system will take the exit. A human driver would start indicating a few hundred meters before the exit. Nav on Autopilot should do likewise.

Convenience

Secondary function for right steering wheel button

This mostly pertains to the model 3 but could be for other models.

Idea: Add more functions to the right steering wheel button. When not in autopilot, it's useless. Add a setting to be able to choose what it controls. Primarily, I would like it to control AC. With the model 3 it's not very safe having to look on the screen where to touch and slide. Making it a steering wheel button could be safer and more convenient.... more »

Aut. disengagement of cruise control when taking over wheel

Could you please create a setting that allows automatically disengagement of the cruise control after taking over the wheel when autosteer is enabled. I use autopilot a lot...even off the freeways and it works remarkably well. However, during my city driving, I obviously have to take over the wheel when making a turn. Usually, it's fine because the car in front of me will be making the same turn. However, sometimes when... more »

Submit Auto Pilot Feedback To Tesla Eng/AI

Let's have a way when autopilot/car goes wacky you could submit any/all data to the cloud. This would then get reviewed by Tesla Eng/AI and possible fix.

Examples:

1) On highway and the car thinks that the Tractor trailer (next to me) is coming into my lane (when it didn't even come off center) and auto pilot swerves away.

2) There's an intersection where auto pilot steers into the opposite turning lane (wrong way).... more »

Show speed of vehicle in front

One thing I really liked from my Volvo was the speed indicator showed three values in a very clever way.

- my actual speed

- my programmed speed

- and the speed of the vehicle in front of me

It was nice when approaching a slower vehicle to see just how much slower that vehicle is going. That info allows me to decide to switch lanes and pass or just ride along at that speed if it's only a little bit slower.

Ps-Volvo's... more »
