There are numerous situations where it might be helpful to other drivers to know when Autopilot is engaged. One suggestion is to borrow from the popular 80's show, Knight Rider, and add an indicator light to the vehicle to signal that Autopilot is on. Some people suggested using the center brake light.
I would be more apt to call my wife if I knew that she was in AP going down the highway. Right now all I know is she's going 75 mph.
Once I get home, my vehicle never recognizes my parking space.
I would like to be able to activate a "learning" mode by voice command.

The technology is there it just has to be turned around, out of the cars and placed on the lights!

It would be better if the driver could select the side to be fitted to, tapping the preferred side in the picture of the car and the blue lines.

1. In general it is not clear why and when it works and when it does not. Sometimes it works, sometimes not ... The function should be definable (button in the display) so that you can be sure that it always works no matter when the cruise control / autopilot was activated.

Enabled, jackrabbit mode would stop quicker at shorter distances from stop lights or when the car ahead stops, and would speed up more quickly from a dead stop.

An HOV on/off button next to the "navigate on autopilot" button so that it's clear whether or not the system is targeting HOV lanes in its route planning.
Navigate on Autopilot does some confusing route planning if you forget to turn off HOV preferences in the Nav options and it's not immediately obvious. A top-level button would make this more clear.
