When a Tesla is unlocked and you're in the middle of a call, it's pretty eager to switch the audio from the phone over to the car. This can be frustrating when you're in the middle of a call and you are not even inside the car yet. Or when you're near the car and someone else gets in the car a similar thing happens. Suggestion: use the seat occupancy sensor to check if the driver is in their seat. Once the seat is occupied,... more »
In addition to tilting the rear mirrors down when backing up, it would be helpful to show the side cameras when backing up on the display. Especially since the S/X is so wide, its helpful to see the curb when parking.
When traveling longer distances or when your battery is lower it would be nice to enter all of the destinations you need to stop so the navigation can tell you if/where you need to charge during this trip. The function of this would act just like google maps, you could enter all your destination points in the order you need to stop at them, with the added function of routing you to chargers if needed, just like the current... more »
When the vehicle is in park, use all the cameras to stitch together a view of what's around your car.
Car wash mode:
-Turn off sonar sounds
-fold in side mirrors
-deactivate auto windshield wipers
-keep car in neutral (even if seat belt unbuckled or get up front seat)
-play Outkast's "So Fresh and So Clean"
The idea would be to have the speed your car is traveling to be overlaid on the dashcam footage. This would be helpful for using dashcam footage for insurance footage or for disputing speeding tickets.
When turn signal is activated, and a car is in the adjacent lane, sound an audible alert to notify the driver.
Smartwatches are increasingly becoming more common. Its an obvious next step to allow someone to unlock their Tesla with their smartwatch. Other possible uses include: open/close trunk, start charging, etc.
A great enhancement to sentry mode would to enable the car to push notifications to your phone when motion is detected similar to a ring doorbell. When you click the notification it then streams the video feed to your phone. Along with the new speaker in front, you can also talk to the possible suspect from your phone.
Have an option to turn off Easy Entry when the seat sensor detects a passenger behind the driver. Problem: A driver profile has the Easy Entry enabled and moves the seat all the way back when the car is put into park. But if there is a passenger behind the driver they will instantly be struck with horror as they see the seat slowly moving toward them like the crushing walls of so many action films. Paralyzed with... more »
When in park, all the rear cameras would look for cyclists (or cars) coming up from behind and show some kind of alert so you don't door a cyclist. When you're parked next to a bike lane, show a warning when in park to look out for cyclists.
There are people that like Coke vs Pepsi. Some wash their legs when they shower and some don't. Is the shoe pink or gray? Some controversies are never resolved.
But, can we all agree to display battery % remaining AND miles remaining at the same time? Then we would all be happy.
Integrate Waze maps into the navigation system. Being able to crowd source events while driving.
Add Apple Music support.
The in-car Spotify app is currently too limited in UI functionality and streams at very low bitrate. My proposal: - Increase Streaming Bitrate for Spotify Premium Subscribers The current streaming quality is noticeably low bitrate. I already pay a Spotify subscription so that I can stream high quality (320kbps) audio. If I have to pay for Tesla Premium Connectivity on top of this, then I should not have to take a bitrate... more »
